RE: Tangential ? Oh he's prone to them an'all.</p> Mandatory Hissy Fit - still chortling at that.</p>
So you're suggesting He's gone to Scnuthorpe against his wishes. He's done something that he doesn't want to do. He wanted to move south, but he didn't get what he wanted so had to go to Scnuthorpe. Is that right? laughing
Had one at work today Threw a big stapler at the wall . I make Naomi Campbell look like St. Bernadette .
No, no, no no, no. You were there when he said he wanted to move down south, that's the reason. Honest, S.M. says so.
I'm suggesting that he may wanted to move south but had the best contract offer from scnuthorpe and on balance chose that option. Now since it is obvious that you would have kept him pray tell in what capacity you would have played him?
RE: Thought we were talking about Hayes Except he cost us £75k and wasn't signed onshort-term contracts like the ones you quoted. And wasn't it GS who was honour bound to sign Kell after he broke his leg?
Davey doesn't rate him So there is no point in keeping him. I have no problem with that. The manager should be allowed to choose his own squad. But rather than being honest about it he claimed that Hayes wanted to move down South. He actually stated that Hayes had made no secret about the fact, which was news us to us fans who had never heard Hayes mention such a desire. As it turns out Hayes hasn't moved down South, which takes away any credence the story had.
18 goals, 63 starts. Not a bad strike rate really, seeing as he's been played everywhere on a regular basis except as a striker. Good luck to the guy.
RE: No, no, no no, no. You were there when he said he wanted What do you have against Davey?</p> </p> or do you just like to moan?</p>
For the record he did pop along into the Chairmans office and say his wife wanted to move closer to her mam and dad, then a week or so later, changed his mind. people change their minds, thats life, dont believe owt the media say, eg Howard and Reids mysterious injuries, so what if a few porkies are told, Daveys not the first nor the last to manipulate, but on this occasion, the fact is Paul wanted to move to Southend. I even seem to recall him saying he supported them as a lad.
Why does that mean Davey wasn't honest? Perhaps Hayes wasn't honest. Who cares, BFC didn't want him, Hayes wanted to leave, he's gone, everyone's happy!
RE: For the record There's a difference between trying to fool the opposition and trying to fool your paying customers. A huge and total difference.</p> We turned down a bid from Southend for Hayes pre-season, didn't seem to unsettle him in the first few games. Plus, that meant he knew they wanted him. When did you actually speak to him?</p>
RE: No, no, no no, no. You were there when he said he wanted How do you turn '<font size="2">BLUES have yet another bid for Barnsley forward Paul Hayes turned down.' into</font></p> http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=74507&posts=6#M470319</p> or are you just thick?</p>
You missed out "and any deal is now set to be decided by a Football League tribunal"</p> </p> Scnuthorpe came in for Hayes after Southend, they also had 2 offers turned down and Hayes had to choose between Southend and Scnuthorpe, he choose Scnuthorpe but no deal has been agreed so it's going to a tribunal. </p> </p> </p>
