Nowt wrong with a bit o' Bryan Adams!

First song I ever learned the words for when I was a nipper was that song from Robin Hood prince of thieves.

Then unfortunately I seemed to move on to Take that...but I was only 6 or 7

Thelad in Bodega's is ace. Same script, week in week out. Then it's Bryan Adams time...

Someone on here will know him and then tell me to fck off and do better myself or I should go in and tell him what I think.

RE: Pourquoi? nt

Aye, you're probably right. Just 2 bands I thought of that the little indie lovers seem to lap up. Bands that NME hype up to ****, before releasing a 'hit' single followed by less success before eventually fading into obscurity along with all the other 'the' bands

better still, they should just let everyone have a civilised chat until the end of the night and then put 20 top love songs on for the 'erection section' so to speak. It'd save 3 hours of posturing and looking like a lovely person on the dancefloor.

Not me obviously. I always looked cool doing the caterpillar and crazy legs while people danced around me to Oasis's Wonderwall

Oh yes I do love that...gotta give a DJ credit for remembering the order he played the songs in last week (and the week before, and the week before that etc) and then successfully doing the same every time he gets behind the decks.

Maybe I'm just bitter 'coz no DJ will ever play my requests. The Barstewards

Yep, he's terrible. How about the guy at Quasi's.

Mutter something unintelligible to a couple of lasses nearby.
Start playing a song.
Say something to a group of lasses about 'dancing round handbags'.
Interrupt the chorus by telling everyone that another pub nearby is selling drinks on offer.
Try again with the two lasses nearby who blatantly aren't interested.
Mumble something about 'talking with your mouth full' and laugh.
Interrupt second verse to tell everyone what time the pub's open till, even though no-one stays in the pub for longer than ten minutes.
Seconds later, tell people what the song is 'cos he's been that busy talking no-one's heard a word of it yet.
Try again with the two lasses nearby, who've now been joined by a third one. Mumble something unintelligible about 'my kind of threesome'.
Mention the name of the pub again.
Keep turning the music down so people can join in with the final chorus, even though no-one has heard any of it.
Mumble something about "they'll be back" to the three girls who are now leaving.
Have a dawning realisation that no-one is paying a blind bit of attention to anything you say.
Put the same record on, say all the same things again, and after two hours give the manager about twenty yards of old rope.

But **** it, I don't care. By year 5 I was a huge Oasis fan (I don't mean I was a fat fecker by the way!), and then 'real music and guitars took over and that was that

At the moment I am mostly hating 'One Night Only'.

Agreed about the NME - does anyone still read it?

No, I've been banned.

Apparently B.Y.O.B by System of a Down doesn't count as 'one for all the romantics out there.'

And I say it like that too. Like Tony Blackburn.

Last time I went in bodega's it was some kind of happy hardcore night. 'Banging tunes' complete with several 15 year old mc's, and a stage made up of milk crates, a piece of plywood and some cones. Then they went into some kind of 8 mile, battle rap off.

And to top it all, they had a raffle to win a tray of meat. Bizarre to say the least.

You and I both know it was constantly playing Hangin' Tough by N.K.O.T.B that got you banned.

I'd love to go to a club and hear a different Rage song though.

For the record...probably the best I've ever seen live are RATM - absolutely amazing last Saturday

Never played that song, ever.

Didn't have time what with playing two hours constant of MC Hammer's greatest hit.
