I get he was one our own (cringe) and all that. However, the football in the first half of the relegation season when he'd chucked his Teddy out of the pram was some of the most tedious I'd seen. It was Autumn 17 that got me out of the habit of attending religiously.
Precisely , it cuts both ways, I do not think he was done over at Oakwell & jumped at the first opportunity & good luck to him
You don’t think he was done over that January window? He lost two of our best players and was given Ryan Hedges in return.
He was not dealt a good hand but he is not unique , a history of Barnsley managers have had their best players sold , he knew this when he took the job , he is a fan or was & we all know how we have operated since day dot , we all loved Hecky for his achievements at the club but he did not do bad out of the situation landing a plum job at Leeds with his subsequent failure there no doubt setting him up financially for life, good luck to him but no hearts and flowers from me.
He has one of the most expensive squads in the league and arguably one of the best to chose from been sacked twice previous and i doubt would come beack here to work under these who i alway thought wanted him out when he left and to get there own man in anyway.
He’s doing a good job at the minute granted but let’s be real, that Sheff United squad is one of the best in the division. They should be easy top 6, possibly even top 2.
To be fair to him there was a point when he was doing everything except answer the phones in the box office - I think he was fairly diplomatic about it but the lack of support was a joke and who wouldn’t jump at the chance to go to a club where you didn’t have to run the club singlehanded and also get a massive pay rise? We didn’t learn from that did we?
He has one of the most expensive sides in the divison. Hes not having to bring japer moon off the bench to throw under the bus and he has 24 million pound brewster in attack. And lets not forget he did a terrible job at his last 2 clubs and last year with us.
Excellent. I’m really pleased the blades are in their best form of the season just as we’re about to play them. There’s nothing like a heavy derby defeat during a torturous season to really twist the knife!
Shame that left him when the going got tough and he wouldn't roll his sleeves up and fight. It's piss easy displaying all that passion when you're on an easy ride. Next summer when Prince Abdullah sells a few then he will go back to mr negative!
