RE: Plenty of teams would love

Held it up well a couple of occasions, he fecked up once when he shot from about 35 yards instead of waiting for support.... End of day, if he holds it up like that with Richards along side him then we have no probs.

NUDGER IS TALKING **** LIKE USUAL

    Its simple
But seeing that yer dunt know much abart football I'll spell it art
A full back is there to do a number of things, one of the main things is to stop crosses
Look at the replay and count how many crosses came in from our left
As for Hayes.......does this guy know how to hold a ball up until his midfield gets near him
Someone should sit him down and explain to him this part of being a centre forward
I dont reakon much to Richards but at least Richards knows how to do this job

What ever you say, idiot.... Unlike you, I dont get hammered on two cans!!!

You have talked crap for the majority of games so far, and you are so predictable. How do I know negative comments would yet again come out of your mouth. You get so boring it is untrue.

    Rubbish YN as per

That right winger will trouble all the left backs at this level.

And as for the cb having to help out the fb. Surely if the fb forces the winger to push the ball past him so far that the cb can cut him out then he's done his job.

Simpson did his home work and saw that our left back isnt as good defensivley as the right back and set out to isolate him.

ALERT- I agree with Young Nudger!!!

first half in particular Hecky always backed off and let the cross come in-he has to learn-if he can-to shepherd the winger along the touchline

So when did he watch our right back then?

Wasn't that Neil's first game of the season?

You are correct in that Hecky was isolated and as a result you have the reason why he had to stand off somewhat.

    hmm

Could we look further up the pitch and say that due to circumstances Mcindoe was having to play further up the field, meaining that he was not supporting the fb as he usually does?
If anything, Hecky was blocking a good cross into the box, meaning the PNE lad had to cross it too close to the gk, who imho with a little more experience would have caught it.

If you're going to criticise anybodies positioning I'd look at Austin for playing the PNE lad onside. Or possibly the gk for handling outside the box.

Anyhow, I can see where you're coming from and think you have a good point.

I expect that you coach at a UEFA level yourself then.

With one striker up front we were still threatening - a lot of that has to do with Hayes who did very well under the circumstances.

You ought to get some prozac or something.

RE: Effort was there............and a few things became clearer

    - Heckingbottom has a bad hip.
    - Hayes was by himself.
    - McPhail is, and has always been, rubbish.
    - Antony Kay is simply magnificent. Hassell can be good when he wants to be.
    - Howard has been 'class' ever since he signed, in case you haven't noticed.
    - Proper strikers? If Colgan hadn't been such an idiot and got himself sent off, we would have had two strikers to give the ball to, instead of one who obviously would never be able to do all the work by himself.
