    So if negotiations were going well and it looks like they were likely to be completed - you wouldn't have said to Patrick 'is it ok if we engage with Hecky to make sure he's happy with the squad and his place at the club'.

    What's a "duffer"? Is it a compliment?

    You can obviously post what you want, but if you insist on repeating the same tedious drivel over and over again, you surely shouldn't be surprised if you get a bit of stick and attention Unless of course that's what you're seeking?

    Well no, I wouldn't have as it would be rejected out of hand. Likewise, as a seller I would tell the buyer to conclude the purchase and then he can do whatever he wants.

    That's not exactly right in this context though is it?

    Because PC wants to do the best by the club.

    He doesn't want, and hasn't been prepared, to sell to just anyone (as far as I am aware).

    To suggest that PC should and will sell to someone who thereafter can do "whatever he wants" is I think wrong.

    That's right.
    I couldn't see Patrick standing in their way - as he wants best for the club.
    So the worrying thing here - is that the only contact between Chien Lee and Hecky is just a simple hello.
    For someone that is reportedly close to buying the club then that dosent add up.

    Again, and this is from my own experiences: don't take everything said to the press at face value. Much of what is said is either self preservation or scripted by the powers that be. Now, for all I know he could be 100% truthful on the matter, but nobody knows that but the individuals running the club.

    Not if the correct safeguards are included in the contract for sale. As PC (and probably BMBC too) will I believe insist that they are.
