I have a Norwich City season ticket holding friend texting me now to say that this story is all over the city and the odds have narrowed to 3/1. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it is looking highly likely that Norwich are making a bid to take Hecky to Carrow Road. He did play for them for a while, so has some knowledge of the club, so my pal is saying.
One comment on that forum is that Hecky hadn't settled in Norfolk and was anxious to move back to Yorkshire. Also, given his comments in this week's Chronicle regarding the strength of his feelings towards Patrick and his family I'd be surprised if he went.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was a complete non-story put about by the Sheffield based media to unsettle our club in the run up to their blessed piggies must win game against us.
Maybe getting compo for managers is now part of the blueprint as well. It was said at one time, that it was an easy system for someone else to slot into. I'm sure someone else can step up from the academy.
Given only lasted a short space of time before seeking a move back up north as a player I'd be very surprised
It is what it is mate. Players, managers and even our ex CEO get headhunted by the ones with the more brass. Apart from a very small group of clubs, everyone craves success but pretty much always become victim to it in some ways. If he goes it'll be two managers on the bounce that will have left without being sacked. Got to be some kind of record for us in last 20 yrs or so? Lol Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk

Irvine is in charge of Norwich's next game regardless. So he would still be here. I hope he takes it. This place would combust. Some of you deserve the return of Hill and all his Rochdale cronies. Give you something proper to moan at.
My same pal has said that Norwich are appointing some guy called Webber from Huddersfield, but in some more administrative role He says Sporting Director - a new one for me), so that could confirm the Huddersfield link. It looks as though Norwich are definitely keen, but no one is yet saying that Hecky is, so the two may be poles apart still. Hope he stays. crucial. I wouldn't have thought that MacDonald would have signed an extension today unless Hecky were there doing the business and giving him confidence that he will be so for the foreseeable future. Who knows.
