    I don’t think it’s as black and white as you point out. The Head Coach takes the job knowing the recruitment strategy the club adopts. So regardless of this 30 year old striker he should never be in the team’s thoughts as an option.

    I was at the Stendel, Winkler and GG Supporters’ Trust meeting where the recruitment strategy was explained and the involvement of the Head Coach is far greater than your description alludes to.

    Where in the past we had a manager to blame for crap signings, now we have a head coach and a transfer panel that can lay the blame at each others feet.
