They have just signed Tyreece Simpson, a striker we were reportedly interested in and the buzz was that he would be loaned out straight away if Huddersfield were to sign him. Well, that has now happened. What about our getting Simpson on a season-long loan as part of the Helik deal? Makes sense, you know, although, in his interview, Simpson talks as though he expects to be competing for first team squad. I had a thought that, if Helik were to stay with us, how about trying him up front as a striker? Did okay when moved forward in previous seasons and could do a job for us there.

Simpson has been signed but during his medical they found an issue and believe he is out injured until October/November.

maybe they are still supporters who care? While it might get on peoples nerves, there are some valid observations and experiences in the moans. Equally there are people who constantly only give that glass have full view. If this forum only wants the latter and ticket holders only then thats a sad day. Fan pressure seems to have led in part to the change in the board structure and reset on shirt sponsorship. I welcome any fan having a voice - i don’t necessarily have to agree with what they say.

Marc doesn't see it like that ! He thinks I have no say it what goes in . The product they sell is very poor. If it was a theatre, pub or a restaurant they would have gone bust years ago. The club is run ad hoc

Going to the gym is a different kettle of fish . It's not really entertainment as such . Now if you had booked a instructor for Pilates for example, and some fat bloke or lass turned up and just put minimum effort in, then you would have cause to complain I suppose . The club as distance itself from the fans, it's happened before no doubt but I can't see any evidence that these owners or new board members are going to change it

If Helik leaves and the figure is under £2mill up front plus add ons. I personally think it's a terrible move, he is worth a fair bit more than that.

If you think he could be slotted back into defence and steady the ship alongside Anderson to get us back into the championship. Our defence isn't the same without him playing. It will cost us a lot more than £2million should we end up stuck in league 1 for quite a few years. Every year it becomes harder to escape as we cut our cloth accordingly. I'd say if he is the stand out performer every week in league 1 he will still be in contention for the Poland squad. Just give it 1 season.

Sometimes you do have to weigh up the gamble. £1.5 million would be an insult IMO.

I am in complete agreement. We have a few centre backs, but Duff's decision to drop both recent signings in that position to the bench at Ipswich suggests that he is not impressed by them. Helik and Andersen would arguably have been the best pair of central defenders in the division, and we certainly need a good defence to compensate for a severe lack of a goal threat.

They've loaned out Edmonds-green who's started a couple of games at centre back this season, possibly to make space......?
