Wouldn't you rather have someone at least half famous?

Like a footballer?

Someone of relevance to Barnsley, instead of some teen contest, maybe Dickie Bird?

I dunno, just suggestions.

 

Depending on the Cup draw

and whether Barnsley are at home or away, we may have some support from the Club. Some tickets have been bought to pass to anyone who feels they can attend.

I knew you'd think that, which is why I tried to word it differently.

If you go to someone like Chelsea FC and say "Face of Barnsley" they're gunna be like "what the ****'s that?"

But if you mention "Barnsley FC" or someone like Dickie Bird who is renowned for being from Barnsley they would be more interested in helping.

The face of barnsley is basically a small town beauty contest. I doubt more than 1% of the population would recognise him/her in the street if they saw the face of barnsley, and i doubt anybody would be that impressed. I dont think id be like 'wow, im in the presence of greatness here'

I wasn't having a dig at anyone involved in the Face of Barnsley competition.

I just can't see how it'd attract attention from the big clubs to get involved in this.
