I am not going to start arguing with you mate, but you talk crap on this one. Believe it or not there are plenty of people out thgere in Barnsley that CANNOT afford even £6 a week, some have to choose between heating or eating. These are facts whether you choose to believe it or not!
I can afford it under normal circumstances, if I had until end of June. But this season the club have suddenly decided to reward my loyalty, on the 125th year celebration season, by demanding that I have to stump up my cash 2 months early, or they will charge me more. Nice. Stronger Together.
yes but I bet they can afford sky tv every month with sports and movies, broadband, 20 lamberts a day, a sunday or most other afternoons at the pub, a saturday night out, like i say it's all about choices, if you choose not to go then shut up moaning about the price, it's £315 which is top value for money to watch a season of football trust me I've been there, I've bought my season ticket and walked from Cudworth to the ground when I've been unemployed to save money, I've not had any beers, not bought a programme and not bought a pie, I bought a season ticket and went to watch my team and walked home, an afternoon of football for next to nowt
OK OK ffs your'e no 1 fan, we get it, and most of us have probably done similar at times, just didn't feel the need to broadcast it to all and sundry But he's right times are hard and some others have other priorites.Did you JUST come on here to big yourself up and stir the **** or was there another reason?
Redstar it was about 8 years ago, and yes i would do the same again NYR, i came on here to big myself up and stir as much **** as possible, everybody else does it so why not me, it's about time thereev and barnsley ****** had a bit of competition don't you agree?, no I'm not the no 1 fan, I am a realistic fan, with realistic expectations
I, for one, am prepared to chip in 50p towards a collection for a pie for this TRUE fan. The club needs unquestioning fans like Jimbob if we are to achieve our aim of becoming the new S****horpe United. Where do I send my 'Tebbit' to?
ahhhh bless, I'm honoured. but if you had read my posts ye would have realised that I don't need it now, send your donations to someone else please...... I'm pretty sure that you said that you would never post on here again if we had hit a points target in a certain time set by your good self, nut yet here you are, ah well full of **** as usual........why not go and post on owlsmad or something, they also have ideas way above their station and expect to playing champions league football in a few years time with no cash
Nope, pal. Said I wouldn't post between August and October. In the event I broke my silence due to overwhelming demand. Anyway, glad you're so happy with the way things are. I should think The Don will be too!
I think they'd rather have SKY tv 24/7 for which the whole family benefit, rather than the husband take that money to Oakwell to watch 1hr 30mins of football every other week.
yes but you can afford it!!!, you have made a choice not to go, all I am saying is for people to stop making the excuse about not getting a season ticket/match ticket by claiming they can't afford it when the reality is they have chose not to buy on, they have spent money on something else.
How do you know every individuAL BFC fan's personal financial situation? My circumstances have changed in the last 12 months and i have to make certain sacrifices to get by and now going to watch the reds is more of a luxury expenditure for me than ever before.
I don't know everyone's circumstances, all I am saying is that Gordon Owen said they would rather have Sky than to get a season ticket, if they can afford sky they can afford a season ticket, but choose to get sky, as you have said you make sacrifices to watch BFC, well done, so do I, but you and I choose to make those sacrifices to get either a match day ticket or season ticket, if I choose not to get a ticket I wouldn't go bleating on about how BFC are robbing everybody blind for £30 a match when the option is there to pay £13.70. I bet there are many on here smoke 20 a day, gamble £10 on a weekends football, and go out drinking on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday and then come on here claiming how hard done by they are because at the end of April BFC have asked them to find £315, all they are doing is using that as an excuse not to go and to slag the club/manager/players off and before anybody starts £30 is far too dear to watch a game of football, I wouldn't pay it that is why I chose to get a season ticket.......£20 seems to me to be a fair price for all pay on the day tickets in all areas of the ground.
Okay, why don't you look at it like this. You can save the money over the three months, just like you paid over three months last year, and it will cost you £355 when you go to pay in July, or you can pay £315 if you book it before the end of April and then take out the finance deal for £20, which enables you to pay it over 5 months. That way it will cost you a total of £335, rather than the £355 you'd be paying in July, but you get to spread this over 5 months. If you are a member of the Centenary Society you get a 5% discount too, which more or less covers the admin charge for the finance deal. Alternatively, you knew the season tickets would be going on sale around the end of the season (they generally do!), so if you wanted to spread the cost over a few months there was nothing to stop you putting the money away yourself every month since February, as you would then have had the cash to go and pay the early bird price in April.
