    Surely the club cannot trademark the letters "BFC" ???

    I was very careful in the creation of the t-shirts and I have ensured that I have not used the term "Barnsley Football Club" or "Barnsley F.C."

    The only other thing is the use of names of players, such as Brian Howard or Clint Marcelle? They wouldn't be copyrighted though surely.

    Have you got word that the club are trying to shut this down? More than happy to work with them. I would love to see these t-shirts being sold in the club shop but BFC probably have contracts with preferred suppliers of merchandise, and as the surridge website shows it's hardly inspiring. The advantage of spreadshirt is that they deal with all the back office stuff...you design the products and stick them up on the net and that's it.

    Let me know by PM if you've got any news on the site shutting down front.
