Not widely known ( I think) but old Henry had the first recorded pair of football boots in history. Obviously no studs but shoes for the sole purpose of playing football.

Differentiation is a big part of teaching, and the same principle applies when it comes to being able to tell the difference between a harmless joke and something much more unpleasant which is part of a concerning pattern of behaviour. The latter is of course what the Ofsted guidance is aiming to address.

I dont see anything funny with that kind of thing coming from a kid. Certain standards should kept within the classroom.

Thanks for the lecture, I know how to teach and have a great rapport with the students. SLT have told us not to accept ‘banter’ and I will act accordingly.

We all went to school we know how it would play it. If you don't exercise some control it will get out of hand be disruptive and nobody will learn anything.
