Herbie interviews like he’s been playing

Yes he’s played well for the most part. There were games early in the season where he was clearly our best player but he gets no credit ever since the interview he gave in the summer.

 

I’d imagine comments like that are why he’s pissed off.

Connell’s just got a bumper new contract & been sat on his arse for 3 months whilst Kane’s giving his all in front of a new back 3 & keeper & is getting undeserved flack from fans because the teams weaker & not performing as well as last year.

I’m not saying Connell’s been lazy or anything like that. I appreciate he’s been out for genuine reasons but been fit & available & robust enough to play twice a week is a major attribute that Kane has.

There’s a view I’ve always had that if you aren’t playing you seem to get more credit off of Barnsley fans. There’s no doubt in my mind that if roles were reversed & Connell would’ve been playing in front of a new keeper, a new defence & without Kane alongside him that he would’ve looked a lot worse.

Kane’s not the one name calling or insulting people’s appearance online like many of our fans are doing.

Hes cracking on with it & playing twice a week, very rarely misses a game & continues to give his all for the club even though he’s probably pissed off he hasn’t had a move or received a better contract from the club.

Whilst others miss games after every international break as an example.

 

We've all been pissed off at work but you've to get on with it,he's getting paid and is supposed to be a professional footballer so when being interviewed he should act professional. I've always liked him but that interview was terrible.

Poor point to make. Recently our matches have been postponed and whilst his international mates have been "on duty" he hasn't. In the odd match he may have been the best player but this season's bar is set very low. I have seen all home matches and don't recall me ever thinking he was MOM.

 

Kanes interview in the Chronicle is far better than the one with a camera shoved in his face,maybe he,s a bit shy and not comfy in front of a mike and camera.

 

He needs to step up hugely to even instigate a move

Just read it online and he definitely comes across more positive.

Whys it a poor point? Styles has missed the first game back twice after international breaks.

He’s only playing for Hungary.

Allison, Ederson, Bruno Guimares, Joelinton, Almiron, Alvarez, Nunez etc are flying from South America & are ready & available to play after international breaks.

 

Don’t get me wrong it’s not a good interview but I’ve got no issue with Kane. If we had a squad of players with his ability that match his effort we’d be fine. Players can sulk in interviews all they want as long as they give their all where it matters.

It's the suggestion that they are tossing it off and he isn't that's poor.

 

If we had a squad of players with his dominance, physical presence and speed we would be in trouble. He is skilful but limited. This season his goals and assists per game statistics are poor. He needs to be encouraged to be more positive and adventurous. For whatever reason he is currently underachieving.

 

Never known why folk rate him I can honestly remember one or two decent performance’s from him, doesn’t want to be here let him rot in reserves playa young en, same with Styles, Cole & Williams I’m convinced that we’ll lament these in 18months saying a few more who thought grass was greener.

 

I think a lot of people on here have got Herbie wrong. He does interviews like that to make his manager look charismatic!

 

Of course you would. He’s tiny.

If you had a team full of Iniesta’s & Xavi’s you’d be useless too.

That why I was referring to effort levels & ability not physical attributes.

 

I don’t think he’s ever been great at interviews but this one is terrible.

I think he’s had a decent season, one of our better performers. He does frustrate me though how a lot of time he’d seemingly rather pick an easy backwards pass than an adventurous forward one.

 

Yeah, by a bunch of owners who haven't got a clue how to run a football club.
I haven't listened to it, because if its worse than the one he did before, then it must be a right shocker!.
