I never mentioned comments on here, but how many comments during a game or on other social media affect players, Woodrow has already touched on this during his interview for the last grove street programme. I would argue that players do take notice of comments in the ground and on social media.
Quality Loans are the sensible option at the minute in my opinion. Let's hope he can take a good corner and free kick.
Dreamy isn't very good with statistics. I notice he's stopped trying to find positives in the COVID figures though.
But your response was to a post on here, Cauley is already our player so it obviously didn’t prevent him from signing. I don’t doubt that players read forums etc, however, when has it been said that they have been attributed to stopping a potential signing? for us?
Is that because none of the so called 20 + professionals we already have can't take a corner out free kick????? Ffs, I hope we are better than that, although from previous experience I don't think we have...
Yes, we need to improve on set pieces and I don't see the problem with loans as long as they are quality ones and it helps to safeguard us through uncertain times.
Good signing in my opinion. Donny fan at work has just said that he’s the best loan player he’s seen at keepmoat.
I never said it stopped a potential signing, what I said was that no wonder players do not want to sign for us. Do you not think that players talk to each other about how they are treated by fans. People are always quoting that such and such a player should have a chat with a player and say how good it is to play for a team. Let’s look at Anderson as an example, he has been a revalation since football returned, however, I would say that his game prior to that was dramatically affected by the fans in the stadium. It’s all about opinions, and whether people like them or not, these are mine.
Great signing if we get him. Far from the top of the list of the style of player we most need but anyone's welcome at the minute. Good to see us taking advantage of the loan market again. It seems counterintuitive ignoring it the last couple of years.
For my money, Kane was a stand out performer in our League one Drawn game with Doncaster at Oakwell in 2018. He showed a calmness and maturity beyond his years that afternoon and looked a threat everytime he got the ball. I said at the time, if Marquis hadn't strayed offside too often, on the day, Doncaster could well have beaten us. My hope now is that tomorrow, we manage to bring in a couple of forwards with experience in the EFL and also succeed in fending off any last minute interest from Cardiff or any other Club for that matter for Cauley. Played in the right position, he is quite frankly integral in our chances of gaining sufficient points to remain in the Championship this season.
He's exactly the sort of player I predicted we would go for. I hope he can stay fit, as he clearly could help us if so. I don't get the negativity from some people. I'm hardly convinced about our owners ambitions, but they have made some astute signings. It's been more when & what for regarding sales that have been my gripe.
