Wouldn’t disagree with you there. Wouldn’t be surprised if the smile was ironic though. Maybe he felt Devaney could have hooked other players afore him?
Tbf, he turned and clapped the fans on his way off. I didn’t see a smile, but he seemed to act normally. In the pitch he tried, but he’d been shut down by tactics and didn’t the best of games.
I've stuck up for the players all season long and I genuinely think that we've struggled to find ways to get the very best out of them. What should Cole have done with long balls dropping out of the sky or Kane with balls flying over his head ? There's absolutely no cohesion in our team which I'd put down to coaching rather than individuals.
You're right but l saw it more of a you don't know what you're doing smirk, it'll be interesting to see what the team is on Tuesday.
True - best to play in the channels not hoofing it up. For all of Cole’s issues, he’s not an aerial threat and Santos had him in his pocket. Thats not Cole’s fault.
He was good v Northampton but him.and Collins apparently had a big fall out so I was hoping his game was upped. Shocking after they scored.
Understand why people are up it arms about how Kane looked to be smiling when he came off... People are different. I don't think Kane means to portray himself like that. I used to think he was an arsehole, after a couple of those interviews, but then he'd run through brick walls, score goals, celebrate like it was the world to him. I wouldn't want him as my therapist, but I can forgive him for not being media friendly. He's worked hard this year, on the odd occasion he doesn't play very well, but his team mates are much better at that. Just don't stick him in front of a camera, he malfunctions.
