he wasn't though was he? He was happy to agree a deal on Friday! and I fairly sure he's had an offer on the table from BFC for a number of weeks. He's only pissed off because it looks like he's been accused of being dishonourable. To be honest as long as Mostto and/or a.n.other decent striker arrives I'll be more than happy to see the back of him - simply not consistant enough.
Quite a bit more? I know we aint that bad payers and even the QPR fan on here said that they were not exactly flush! If I had agreed a deal with someone I would have stuck to it.
RE: he wasn't though was he? I've been as far, not just of verbally accepting a job offer, I had signed a contract and had second thoughts - no point keeping someone who doesn't want to stay.
I'm only guessing but I would say that if QPR offered a worse deal he would have taken the Barnsley deal because Barnsley (apparently) didn't know there was a QPR possibility. As for a reasonable person test - well, we don't know the sums of money involved, but it's hard to put yourself in a position where two employers are bidding for your services and one is offering maybe £150-£200k a year, and the other is (at a guess) offering £200 to £250k... I mean most of us don't earn as much as the difference that's being offered in that speculation. Business is what it is, and football is very much business now. Not a lot of room for good feeling - which genuinely is a shame. Besides - if we're asking for loyalty from a player who is at odds with the management, we're starting on the back foot already. I'd suggest that the best thing BFC could have done is express their best wishes to the player, rise above it, and move on, without disclosing stories alleging they were double crossed. All they've achieved is that many fans now suspect that there is something unfriendly about the way the club is run. This chimes with recent issues in the press and legal threats against fans in letters etc... I don't know who it was that said it earlier today, but ffs, can someone with an ounce of PR sense please drop by at Oakwell and have a word? I reckon club and player and probably equally to blame.
ah but he said he did not want to go not unless it was to Coventry or another midlands team. Not only to the club but to Laura as well? Eastander - double crosser!
sorry but had BFC said nowt all the moaning Barstewards would be having a field day - probably the same moaners who are defending Nardiello now - only with a lot more thrown in. The chron would have been full of letters of criticism accusing the club of not paying out good enough wages. How much of his decision was base upon the departure of his vertically challenged mate? You nor me nor madmark will ever know. I doubt we will ever know the relative wage levels either but as I said earlier QPR are hardly a wealthy club. If they have paid tyop wonga out for him they are taking quite a risk IMHO.
No not hios agent . but at least I do know what I am saying and if I was his best mate, so what. The lad has gone leave it alone and get on with supporting the ones left here. Nardiello is history, Mostto (hopefully) is the future LOOK to the future not the past.
RE: On your last sentance we agree nt thankyou I hope we can put it all to bed now. We will do ok next season , but I do worry about the defence, Davey said we needed more pace there and we are in the process of signing a 35 year old, hope he can run as fast as Linford Christie at 35 yrs old.
RE: sorry I don't think you're wrong in a single word you've said. This unpleasant situation probably doesn't have a 'nice' alternative, and I suppose it can be argued that at least the club came out fighting for it's reputation. Ugly bit of business tho'. All shades of grey, I doubt there's any black or white in it. I still think the club would benfit greatly from some genuinely professional media assistance/marketing advice.
RE: On your last sentance we agree nt I worry about the defence. Hope they haven't taken their eye off that. lol
