He could do with softening his tone. I don't see any benefit in the hard man act. Win or lose he needs to get the fans on side, he's not doing himself any favours.
Here's some news for Mr Hill. I don't want to be your friend either............... All I want are the reds to play attractive football like we did against Watford, be safely tucked away in mid-table by Christmas, and the Cat system kicked out. If a fan has a foul mouthed rant at him, Hill does right to bite back. But it is rather unprofessional and I'd do it myself.
Not me cocker........but I've heard about the guys behind the dugout ...............I'm tucked away now with the hoolis near the away end in the ESL But I've heard that there are at least a couple of blokes directly behind the dugout thats giving Hill some stick at every home match ...............this needs sorting out And as I've said before.............I NEVER BOO OUR TEAM OR MANAGER WHILE AT THE WELL
Re: Not me cocker........but I've heard about the guys behind the dugout I thought you might have been doing your chicken dance and Hill took offence to your cr@p moves.
he wont be too worried about points mark yet. all he'll care about is 5 out of 7 performances which isnt bad. forest, royals, millwall, foxes, watford and 2 that werent at the right level in boro.and saints but when you look really it wasny that bad. arent they both in.top 3/4.
I was talking about mrx , mate. But I disagree , those two WERE that bad, in fact they were diabolical performances, no matter where the opponents are in the league. I agree about the last 2 home games good style of play, cant say much about the away matches because I only listened to the commentary and that is not always a true reflection. They make Barnsley sound poor some matches and in fact they have played well.
Are you forgetting the Morecambe game on purpose? Not taking sides in this argument btw (because it is getting boring), just need to get the facts right.
If we carry on playing like did on Saturday, then at least a mid-table finish beckons; Keith Hill can come and call me whatever he likes. I pay to see good football not listen to someone talk.
I agree. All that is important to me is the way we play and our success. I happen to really like Hill and I haven't had a problem with a thing he has said so far in fact I think he has been pretty much spot on in every interview. If we keep on playing like we are he can say what he likes and most people won't be bothered.
I don't expect greatness and I know there will be ups and downs but as long as we're making progress and the football is good more often than not I will be happy and I think most reds fans will be too. I really think we're heading in the right direction under Hill.
Nail ont head pal... you can read an interview any way you want. And sometimes you may mis-read it in the wrong context or whatever. "Im not here to make friends with everybody, Im here to do a job and to do it how I want and to be successful doing it. And I will be a success here." Now thats not verbatim, but its not far off what he said. Read it to yourself in your head... Did you feel offended or that he was wrong to say it as it doesnt marry with the 'in it together' tagline?? Now read it out aloud... And do you still feel the same? Oh I dunno, Im sick of the over-analytical posts this term. Not once did this occur under the last manager. When I was on Radio DeeDar earlier, I had an idea what I was likely to say. But Andy Giddens fired unexpected questions at me on the spot and you just answer as honestly - and quickly cos you're on the wireless - as you can. So I ended up making a daft reference to the Brazil era under Judas. I didnt plan it. Its heat of the moment. Now Im not comparing mi sen to Lord Hill. But he was responding on the spot to questions from Adam Oxley or whoever of Radio DeeDar. So it was the best analogy I could come up with 4 hours - HALFWAY TO HOME - of my shift gone. The analysis, ifs, buts and maybes, are boring tbh. Surely, the last 4 improving - game by game - performances, have warmed your cockles?? Im probably viewed as a Happy-Clapper, that loves Hill no matter what, just because I said I wanted him. But you only have to go check my posts from the 2 defeat dates, to see that I was as unimpressed as the next man at what I saw (and heard in the stands but thats another story thats boring) But I was always optimistic that things would gradually improve. And although we have won just once, we are unbeaten since those early Oakwell horror shows. And havent conceded more than a goal in any game. Still unbeaten away. The newbies are getting better - much better - with each display. The oldies from last year are markedly improved. Steele especially. And we have had HORRENDOUS luck from the get-go injury-wise... and so thats why I and many others should be quite upbeat about the next 39 games. Its half-full cups of cheer for me.. but you can choose to instead look and read too much into stats if you like, and drink from an half-empty cup! Some of the stats are bad, they dont lie either. But they will look a hell of a lot better if the lads under Hillcroft keep consistently performing at current levels.
Re: He waved at the Ponty in a friendly manner it was the same so called "fan" who a few weeks back shouted " **** off out of Oakwell you fecking albino"
