I agree about the booing, it won't help. But at the final whistle I saw people applauding the team. Now I agree that in added time we nearly got an equaliser (which I don't think we deserved), but what had we done for the first 90 minutes to deserve applause? If we had been battling for the whole game yes, but for 3 minutes of effort? Their keeper didn't have a save to make until added time.

The performance, especially in the first half, was a disgrace. Southampton were an excellent side, but we did very little to threaten them when we had the ball, and they just seemed to pass it through us when they had it.

Tonight needs a massive effort from the team, both to restore pride in themselves, and to lift the fans.

When 20+ games have gone it could be too late.

From what you have seen in the games so far, can you be optimistic? Seriously, I have seen nothing in the Morecambe and Southampton games that makes me think we can turn this round.

Hopefully, tomorrow you can come and say "Told you", and I will be happy to eat humble pie.

Sat in the Ponty on saturday I tried on several occasions to get some singing going (mostly Red Army) but it was like flogging a dead horse. What's wrong with the Barnsley crowd?

Its been like this for years now (except for odd occasions like the Ipswich game just before the Cup Semi Final), really p*sses me off.

Yes but using that same analogy you wouldn't barge into the kitchen whilst he's at work telling him how **** he is would you?

Personally, I just wish he would get on with the job in hand.

This HillCroft "Sideshow Routine" is wearing very thin. Quite frankly, i'm not interested in his "well worth watching" pre-match press conferances.

I have only seen 2 games. The first (forest) I was very happy with the point and performance. The southampton game was however very disappointing admittedly. BUT its only one game and I'm certainly not going to dismiss us after that.

I can see Hill's interview style getting on people's nerves very quickly. Fine if we're winning, grating if things carry on as they are.
