Same police force that allows large numbers of its officers to claim over time at doub.e/triple rate every football game for 9 hours?

    Now compared to early 80s

When I left school in 1981 things were bleak. If you wanted to go down the pit and knew someone who worked there all well and good. I spent six years on goverment backed schemes with no real prospect of a job at the end as placements were seen by employers as cheap labour. My mate applied for an engineering job in Wakefield. He was one of 1500 applying for a handful of jobs.

Now Im 42, after finally getting into a trade I became self employed. Im always busy and employ permanent staff. I have an apprentice who has a bright future as a skilled tradesman and Im currently looking to take on more people.

Blair, Labour or coincidence? i dont care! Id sooner be a school leaver now than then. The 80s were great for football hooligans, yuppies and 80s music but as a grown up living in the real world Id sooner be here now.

Highest taxes since 70s. WMD, Death of tens of thousands in Iraq. David Kelly. Spin, Lies and Deception, Cash for Peerages, Increase in Gun Crime, Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants, rise of the BNP, continuation of the ruin of the NHS, Quango Regional Assemblies.
