Porthleven in early February. Marazion in early March. Think we’ve a couple more booked, one Suffolk, one Dorset and likely to have a look for one in mid/late September in the next week. Quite a few on here mentioned Northumberland, so we might have a little research into that. We’ve spent a fair bit of time reminiscing about our travels and if/when this thing is finally over (and if we’re still alive and well) where we might want to visit or revisit. But not getting our hopes up too much still. Isolated cottages is still the plan for 2022.
You might be better staying off the Parisian roads and parking outside and taking the train/Metro in. Driving in Paris is an "interesting" challenge - although interesting in ways you (and your insurance company) might not enjoy... And if you are still on the continent in July, find yourself somewhere on Le Tour route to watch a stage whiz past.
Big birthday for the Mrs in December, so tentatively looking for somewhere to take her. She doesn't like flying, so it might be the Eurostar and probably not on her actual birthday (its 3 days before Christmas). Will see how things go before deciding.
Really sorry to read this about Laura, I sincerely hope it's a bit of a blip and she recovers soon, please pass on my best wishes!
We’ve a cruise booked for the Summer - but it’s been booked for ages and if we have to bump it on a year we won’t care much. We’re supposed to be going to Mexico this month though, which still looks on as we speak (the same flights flew out this weekend). Really hoping this goes ahead as it’s the 3rd booking of this holiday, and we’re going with some frontline NHS workers who really need the break.
I've driven in Paris and Madrid so I think I'll cope... If we go early in April as planned, we'll be home before the Tour kicks of as we'll have had our 90 days - Brexit the gift that keeps giving....
Sorry to hear that kev , wishing Laura a speedy recovery and sending my best wishes to her and all of you .
When are you going Kev? Might drop on you when I am doing one of my walks from my caravan at Thornwick Bay.
Late to this thread- so sorry Laura is not good - please give her our love Hope you all have a great time when you go
Nope got a week booked in England in the Spring in the Lake District. Hoping to go skiing later this winter but not booking anything until its looking like it should work. Mrs F was supposed to be going to France helping a disabled ski group next week but unfortunately that's now cancelled. Its a shame as it looks like France will open again soon as their covid rates are even worse than ours, but its going to be too late as airlines have cancelled the flights etc. so if we go skiing it will be last minute. either February or March Probably wait till last minute this summer as well- certainly not booking anything foreign yet
