If it's the Pratty flowers (aka the Prince of Wales) at crowedge it's now closed is now a housing estate. Had many a Friday lunchtime in there when I worked at Hepworth. Holmfirth is a good night had many a great night down there. Plus a decent scrap well I am a Penistonian.
The Nook is still worth a visit opened a new Nook Tap some years ago but the old pub is still going just round the corner
Pratty Flowers is a song we were always encouraged to sing in The Farmers Arms by the Holmfirth locals, mate.
Just come back from Holmfirth with the family after booking in at Lou and Joe's. Wow. Best burger i have had (scotty 2 hotty) And even the local Holme brew on draught was nice and refreshing . Heading back on Friday with the wife for drinkypoos.
Agreed, burgers are fantastic and the little creatures ale is lovely. Also had it in No7 a few weeks ago on tap.
For something special I quite like this place https://holmfirthvineyard.com/menus/ If not the mix grill at the Fox House never fails, need a good nap after though.
Somebody mentioned a post covid meet up in September, worst places than holmfirth. Cheapish taxi back if you find you don't get on with your new virtual friends, even cheaper for me as I'm only 4 miles away
