Pity he had to spoil it by getting sent off!

Kin ell 2 assists, countless tackles. Perfect passes, and nearly the goal of the season.
What the **** do you want?

Must have been. In the 2nd half he put 3 or 4 brilliant corners right in front of goal at the edge of the 6 yard box. Some of his 1st half corners didn't get past the first man but in the 20 minute period in the middle of the 2nd half when we ran things his corners were consistently superb.

    Definitely.

You must have blinked at the ones that went right in the danger zone.

He did put a couple in at the near post but I thought it was a deliberate tactic as Roberts was running to the near post to flick it on

Is August over yet? It's going to be really hard to keep someone with two goals and two assists, plus a MOTM award from just two league games. Derby fans mentioning needing an holding midfielder if they are to continue with 442 and Pearson has previous with regards to signing a player of similar ilk after playing well for us against one of his teams.

Best individual performance for a fair bit. Played a captains role full of skill and vigour. I said the other day a 9 or 10 performance is rare but he gave one today.

I said the exact same to my brother today.

The Fleetwood jpt 2nd leg last season was the first time I thought it. He was incredible that night. But today he was a different class altogether.

Definitely the best individual performance I've seen in a good 10 years or so. I can't physically describe how good he was.

Just think if they hadn't pulled off two outstanding saves from him such as the one tipped over the bar and we'd have been talking about him having an hat trick today.

No in fairness he did hit the first man two or three times but also delivered some excellent ones too. All round tremendous performance.

The one that Carson saved at his near post was a cracking effort. He had no right to be forcing Carson to make a save at his near post from the distance he struck it from.

Had the volley gone in which was tipped over, I dare say we'd have been naming our goal of the season already.

    Re: Simply sublime!

First game I saw him play for us I said to my dad he'll be the best midfielder we will have had since redfearn, today's performance was quality carrying on running games like he did all 2nd half of last season. I think the only way he'll go this season is for a hefty bid, I hope he see's his contract out and keeps us up!! You Reds!!!

Tbh the ones to the near post were planned , Roberts running to near post to flick on,the fact they didn't come off was to defensive interceptions

Hourihanes delivery except one corner and a first half free kick was excellent. The cross he whipped in, in open play towards the end of the second half in prticular was terrific. Hammills on the other hand, was piss poor today.
