Absolute rubbish IMO. No heart, cant tackle, does not track back. Gave ball away for first goal today, and looked very poor once again. Vastly overrated by many on here. Captain my arse!!!
Nice one Plus why has ******** got a zero in it? And toss got dollar signs? Then there's "Hammer me all you want". Maybe he meant to post on a masochist sex site?
Shooting wise, Hourihane is up there, but I think Butterfield still edges it courtesy of doing it off both pegs. Dead balls? I'd give it Hourihane. Never rated Butterfield's corners, and he doesn't take free kicks. But the latters tackling, graft, vision, technique, passing and experience trumps Conor's. But again, we're talking about a lad playing at this level for the first time and his contribution for us so far ought to warrant more praise than criticism. If it isn't, fair enough. Free country.
My opinion is that the whole of the mid field was poor today, and has been in several games. But, there are some potentially good players in there. The problem is that they can be very weak together. I believe we need a strong, no nonsense, leader who can win a tackle. This would give different combinations of the others to the opportunity to flourish.
Redfearn was something else. The best of his type that we've had. A true, box to box midfielder who scored special goals, won challenges galore and the perfect captain. A legend, an icon. Butterfield was a mere page in our history, Conor's writing a paragraph right now, Redders has three or four chapters. It's to be remembered though that Neil had to go down the divisions to then progress, quite late on in footballing terms...
Berry was quite poor today. However, I think that normally he does well, he breaks up a lot of the oppositions play, intercepts a lot of balls he's no right to.
