Neither Pearson or Hourihane are particularly brilliant but of the two, we look a lot stronger with Pearson in the middle than Hourihane. He may have assisted a lot of goals but he takes virtually all set peices, he's bound to get some assists, its not like he's cutting teams open with killer passes.

No assists and 1 goal Aye we would storm the league relying on Pearson. And I really like the lad.

You started it. One or the other I'd go for our leading scorer and goal assister.

We lost again so it must be Hourianes fault ,it always is, never the fault of the hard grafting players , that are in the team to prevent us conceding, oh No its the fault of the player that gets goals and assists. Must be his fault as we only scored one today.

Some people would not know a skillful player if he was stood in from a dumpling ! as shown by the love for Perkins on here !!

He isnt a skillful player. He has very little to offer other than set pieces. I dont know the stats but I'd imagine we have improved drastically our points per game and also goals conceded since Pearson and Scowen have come in.

He isn't skillful though. He doesn't drive at players. He doesn't take them on. He was ***** and if you were there you'd know that

Apart from being our leading scorer and setting up the rest of the goals what did Conor ever do for us.

On Saturday, he made the most successful tackles attempted by any Barnsley player.

I'm not deciding he's all of a sudden this great enforcer or owt, but yep, he made more tackles than the defensive players. So lets be fair with any criticism, or, make sure you're armed with stats like a sad lovely person like me. :)

I wouldn't go that far but he is something of an enigma. Without his goals & assists we'd probably be staring relegation in the face. Problem is we can't play him centrally in a midfield four which is leaving us playing only one striker. The only way I reckon we could utilise him at his best would be behind two strikers in a 3 5 2. Can't see that happening so Hourihane will continue to be a bone of contention.

Correct, it means we can either only play one striker or no wingers, away from home that is OK but for me, at home you should always have 2 upfront and wingers.

Personally, if we could recoup the money we paid for him I'd allow him to go.

We currently don't have any wingers. Or at least any that are up to it

Get a player like JoS in and Connor will also look better

He's stepped up from league 2. Been good, bad and indifferent. Wasn't good today, but has very few options in terms of who he can pass to, unless its backwards. He's missing O'Sullivan as much as we are. Set up the goal, and could have had a penalty. I like him. My 14 year old son begs to differ. Definitely splits the supporters.

JoS would be my priority number one when we start signing players in the summer.

Would love it if you picked on someone else for a change. You're just making yourself look daft.
