Not a shadow of the player he was at his peak with us on last nights showing. Thought he was a passenger in Swansea's midfield.
https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=55228 5 goals in 19 league games to help them reach the play offs. He's far from finished.
He got some abuse last night off the fans. I get it before the game, but after the game, when walking off, it continued, despite him not doing much in the game. Some folk are quick to forget. And he still speaks highly of us. He left us in a professional and respectful manner. If it was Winnall being abused, then I’d understand.
When we lose Mowatt, I’d take Hourihane back in a shot. He was played out of position. He might not have the engine any more, but we need a ball player in that midfield (and it’s not Kane) that said, he ain’t coming back.... too old for our spreadsheet and wages would be too high
Was never a particularly quick player. Wand of a left foot though. As someone else said, annoyingly good at wasting time on corners.
Rightly or wrongly some treat both players the same because they left to another club in our league with half a season left on their contracts.
