If Conor had the injury problems, I would understand him only being a bit part player, who wants to move into coaching etc. But to say his legs have gone now at 'only' 33, is a disappointingly poor excuse.
Well we wouldn't have missed him so far, think he was signed as a fans favourite, which if he ends up hc and crap, will be turned on,if he's not gonna play I'd prefer disco to coach us,loves club and puts his heart and soul in.
I love Conor and am delighted he's back. But I have been a bit disappointed with how little he's even been on the bench. Never expected him to play loads, but did think he'd be available at bit more than he has been at least. I get he wants to focus on his coaching, as that's the best thing long term for him and his career going forward, but he could still easily be on the bench. We've often had just one CM on bench in games and he's still not been picked for bench, not sure if it's him ruling himself out or Clarke not picking him but he should have been on bench a bit more of late. Especially while Kelechi gets up to speed, Russell being away on international duties and Craig missed a game or two lately as well with a slight injury. We could have used him on bench for sure.
