How can the BBC justify sending radio Sheffield presenters out to Spain and Portugal

    It's radio not TV though.... I've done loads of Radio Sheffield interviews over the years, and the vast bulk are just done over the phone.. it's then cut where necessary and by the time it's broadcast the listener doesn't know that you were never interviewed in person.

    You say that, but is sort of is. The license fee doesn't pay for all that the BBC does so it has to sell it's programming abroad to meet the shortfall. It has done this for decades. So it's in competition with the likes of Sky, Netflix and Disney etc.

    I wouldn't have thought Radio Sheffield had much input into that... on second thoughts it could be a big seller to the millions of Wednesday fans abroad.
