Exactly I see what the OP was saying too. Football lacks loyalty so if someone is good they are sold onto a bigger club in no time at all (same will happen this summer with some of LJs comments in the press already) and if they are garbage we are stuck with them or have to pay them off like we have with a couple lately.

It's difficult to get excited about any signing because we don't know how they will work out. We didn't expect our premiership experience players to be so rubbish or for Dale Jennings to look like Dean Windass without the skill for two years. We'd not heard of or barely heard of the better players we've signed. Contracts aren't worth the paper they are on due to player power. Testimonials are extremely rare which makes the treatment of Bobby after his loyalty even more disgusting.

Wouldn't mind giving me this weeks lottery numbers would you? You seem to be certain that we'll sell Hourihane, Winnall and Scowen will all leave... can't see any of them leaving tbh.

And... I might add, if they do go, they're replaceable. I remember a thread on here a couple of years ago asking who'd they'd like to get rid of Perkins or Dawson and most posters saying they wouldn't wanna lose either. Now look at us, them two are ***** and we have Scowen who is 100% better than both. Think positive lark!

It's what we do it's what we've done for years, might not be this summer it'll January or next summer just as this summers signings are starting to come into their own and look like we've got the makings of a good side, but history is a great teacher and our recent history teaches us that we'll sell for peanuts at the totally wrong time because that's what we do time and time again

How long as it took to replace them two? We've got Scowen Hourihane Winnall Holgate Bree Smith turnbull Davies quality players for this league, now we're trying to bring in 5/6 players to compliment them and push the club forward, so we'll bring ten players in, and then we'll bend over and let the agents of the fore mentioned players walk all over us on their way to a club not much better then ours for a few quid, it happens to us time and time again because the club and its board allows it to, we're never going to achieve anything carrying on like this, look at the clubs that have been promoted from our league in recent times they've not done it by carrying on like we do have they ?

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and it would be boring on here if we all always agreed. It would be nice to have our better players long term, but in this day and age it doesn't happen. We can't get a connection to players because we know they will leave first chance they get to get the payrise. They are just guys kicking a ball around for us until a better offer comes their way.

It's a lovely idea to get in Williams, JOS and Waring on permanent deals to strength what we've already got. However (and bump this thread when the season starts) I will be properly shocked if before now and the first match of the season we don't sell one of our assets of Houriane, Scowen, Winnall, Bree, Smith and Holgate, probably using the offer we couldn't refuse or player wanted to leave lines.

Pretty much, when we sack a manager theirs uproar on here and in the stands, but players being allowed to Fu'ck off when they like is fine it's just what happens, but it's not, it doesn't happen to clubs that get promoted well not on the same scale as it continues to happen to us

Folk probably aren't so fussed about the opinion, it's the incessant posts labelling our player cnuts, scum, basterds etc. It's that I'm assuming that gets folk annoyed.

They've had the best out of him first though, a season of getting promoted and in top league, we never get nothing out of our players before we sell them on

Yeah just saw that, he's out of contract, but anyone who signs him in this country needs to pay compensation. So rather than sign him and go to a tribunal, billy big ****** Spurs have tried blowing everyone out of the water by offering stupid money.

Didn't Man Utd have to sell Ronaldo, Spurs sold Bale, Arsenal Fabreagas, Van Persie, De Bruyn Chelsea, and Liverpool might be next with Sterling following Suarez. I could go on. Let's face it your logic isn't backed up by facts.

Is it worth pointing out that we've not sold anybody yet?
