The OP asked us, the fans, to give our opinion, not the coaches at BFC. There's a couple of opinions in this thread that I don't agree with, but their opinions are every bit as valid as mine. It's a bit off to berate someone for giving their opinion, when it has actually been asked for, just because you don't like it.
For me, Williams will provide decent cover both at right back and right midfield. Styles looks quite classy on the ball and appears very confident. Green seems to be a tough, little cookie, pacy and direct. I'm really looking forward to seeing the progress of these lads with us.
Thought all three were positive contributors and although that's the most I've seen of Williams and Styles there's certainly something to work with in each case. I know it was only ten minutes for Styles but his close control was excellent - the ball seemed stuck to his feet.
All played brilliantly, high hopes for these 3. Having got 3 games in a week i would start these against dony and rest others who they replaced yesterday.
Not sure that’s fair actually Conan. I simply wonder how anyone can come to the conclusion that a young player is ‘not good enough’ based upon a brief appearance. Clearly the professionals must see something or presumably he wouldn’t be getting on the pitch for us. I fully accept that other people see things differently to me, but I also believe in giving someone a chance before starting to write them off. I know you’ll never be 100% positive about most things at the club and that’s your prerogative. And it is my prerogative to look for the positives rather than the negatives.
I wouldn’t,t play anybody that’s only played 10 mins for the first team in a game we had already won.
