I think youre missing the point. Im not upset that I havent had an invite. The meetings arent my cup of tea unsurprisingly. I think me meeting him and passing information on to people is no different to Whitey meeting him and doing so or Gally or anyone else. My point is that surely cutting out the middle man makes a lot more sense if the intention is truly to get bens message out to as many as possible.
So who exactly are you arguing on behalf of? Folks who live too far away, or for some other reason cant attend any of open meetings that have been offered? Or is it on behalf of those who can get to the meetings, but choose not to because they prefer to harp on about it on the internet? For info, I like the idea of doing something live on the internet to address a wider audience, its somehing that ive argued for on here previously. But i also think theres a place for face to face meetings.
Ah then I think we have our wires crossed a bit as I too think the face to face meetings have a place. I just think that the wider audience info sharing (internet or whatever) should be the first option for giving out info that you feel should be shared and that the meetings should be secondary to that and actually totally unrelated altogether. I think meetings with supporters groups where issues specific to that group are discussed are vital. I think Ben popping in to preedys and talking to people is brilliant and have said for years that directors should wander around the concourses on matchdays to talk to fans and this is as close as we have ever go so thats a good thin g.
