I've not been impressed with him as a player. He's a bit of a lumberer. Certainly lost as a midfielder. Someone has got to be captain though I suppose, and there's no leaders in the side at all, so they could draw lots and it'd make no difference.
Usual clueless stuff going forward. Created no clear cut chances at all from open play and spent the last 20 minutes lumping long balls that were easily defended. Powderpuff in midfield and the back four were their usual dodgey selves. Apart from that we looked ok....
Hsving thought about it... clueless defensively. Clueless in midfield. Only person who offered anything vaugley positive was winall. And thats not really owt to brag about.
It was wet. Very wet. A Conference team's fans were mocking us. You're supposed to, you're supposed to, you're supposed to be League One. On the pitch, it was Spackman-esque, and I never use that term lightly. Misplaced passes; being out-fought; a lack of that sort of instinct which tells a player when and where to move. I thought Winnall had a bit of quality; I thought the half-fit Watkins did too; but the other buggers dragged them down. It was desperate and I was very bleeding angry at the end. I lost my voice shouting 'WE WANT JOHNSON OUT!' as I got ****-wet through. I still think we can stay up. A new manager and a run of five points from three games and we're good to go again. Losing is a habit; a few results can be transformative. But Saturday was as bad as I've ever seen.
Definitely worse than Bromsgrove. In fact so much worse I can't quantify it. That had been my previous worst ever performance but that was some ok players having very bad day this was poor players performing poorly.
