    Reading Redfearn's autobiography

    He says that other teams simply coudnt play on them. Oldham used to train loads on it, where as away teams had an hour or so on a Friday if they wanted. Then the 'groundsman' would put a load of sand on it on Saturday before the game. No wonder they had great home records. In fact, that was the main reason Oldham got promoted the season when Redfearn scored the winner from the spot against Wednesday.
