    RE: Yes lets.

Supertyke just suggested Aidy Boothroyd - he'd do for me. Might be crap football but it's effective. Whereas Davey's football is crap and ineffective.

Could have gone for Paul Ince, Mark Robins might be worth a shout, you might even be able to do it but it would involve going to Oakwell more than once a season.

I look forward to you telling me why Davey is better than the managers I have suggested.

You were doing quite well there Jimboy until the broken record kicked in. Also, is one only allowed an opinion about the team based on what's on display at Oakwell? Not any of the away venues that you frequently attend?

So tell me, Why Boothroyd? why is he the new Messiah?

It helps if you get to more than half a dozen games a season

As I said in the first line of my previous post - Boothroyd's football isn't great to watch but by and large it works. Took Watford from relegation fodder to the Premiership in the space of one season. Lost his way a little bit after they lost in the play offs but he would be able to guide us to midtable mediocrity which is what all the "unreasonable" fans want.

Oh yes that works just fine. I'll be at every Boothroyd game revelling in the 'lump it' ball and lack of mid-field.

The 6 yellow cards and 1 red card per game will also ensure good player rotation and give everyone a game.

    Can't wait. When's he coming?

I'll name three or four (in fact 5)

    Ian Holloway
    Gareth Southgate
    Chris Houghton
    Malky Macay
    Paolo Sousa

None of them you can claim are better than Davey, while at the same time you could argue they are no worse.

and that makes him a bad manager?

Now if you had just said his brand of football is shocking, then I would have agreed
