Didn't they pay a fee for Isaiah Osbourne? Even so it's a good point that Blackpool haven't spent much on transfer fees either this season.

Which might go some way to explaining why Holloway has walked away to join Palace, and also why a team with Premier League parachute payments are wallowing in 16th place in the league and are only 3 points better off than us.

Hence the reason why Holloway walked, and why they are 16th in the league, only 3 points better off than us and lost 4-1 yesterday?

Watch this space... Steve Parish owns the company I work for and he has just sold his remaining shares.

Reckon you don't need to spend much though when you have Ince, Phillips, Phillips, Taylor-Fletcher and can afford to loan out Barry Ferguson!

There's a number of clubs who've spent very little on players. Watford spent nothing.

Didn't we pay for Collins at the start of this transfer window?

That's what I said in my OP, on a deal agreed last season.

Only because their model is one of using loans from Udinese and the rest of Europe. If Hill took that approach there'd be uproar.

Still signed a centre half and a goal keeper more than capable at this division. And are above us. Like all but 4 teams are.

    Not suggesting it was/is.
But he seems to be like teflon to some on here, as nowt sticks.
He's the right man for the job, I said that the day Mark left. But it doesn't mean he's untouchable.
The budget cannot keep being used as an excuse for his failings to select a strong side, to mix it up tactically, and his attitude problem when we're struggling.

I know he's far from perfect, but I believe the criticisms of him on here are out of proportion and I personally see a lot of good traits in him. I stated at the beginning of the season that his failure to bring in a centre half would be costly. I still think it is and will be and that is Hill's fault. Beyond that, and getting the odd team selection wrong (which all managers do from time to time) I'm not sure what more he could do to improve us.

It's just differences of opinions Merlin, and I think I've bored everyone enough with mine for today.

Non of the players Keith has signed have had a signing on fee and I believe we were one of the lowest payments of commission to agents in the league last season.
