Blackburn - 1 point. Stoke - 3 points. Luton - 3 points. Wigan - 1 point. Leeds - 1 point. Notts Forest - 3 points. Brentford - 0 points.
The championship is hard enough to predict at the best of times so it’s even more difficult right now but I’ll have a go: Blackburn - Win Stoke - Lose Luton - Draw Wigan - Win Leeds - Lose Notts Forest - Draw Brentford - Win I’m guessing, or maybe hoping, that Brentford will be 3rd/4th comfortably when we play them and will be resting players for the playoffs. Anyway, I make that 11 points which would give us a total of 49. Will that be enough? I’m not sure. It’ll sure be tight around that 50 point mark.
I think we’re gone. I held the belief throughout lockdown that we had a chance of staying up as long as we won our first 2 games back because some of the teams above us might not win another game. With us drawing yesterday & Charlton & Middlesbrough showing an upturn in form it’s going to be very hard to survive & then you look at our fixtures & see that every team has something to play for especially the last 3 against quality sides fighting for promotion & the odds get a lot bigger. We basically need to get 5 more points than Huddersfield or 6 more than Stoke when there’s only 21 to play for as well as leap frog Hull & Luton whilst we’ve probably got the toughest run in of all. A Huddersfield win today & I’d say for sure it’s over. A draw & it’s probably about 95%
We beat Hull away to end the shocking evening game run. Unless you’re just referring to home games...?
