How many times will people stick up for Walton?

    Cast your mind back to the Boro game this season when Collins played(awful)

    Even the best players make mistakes. If you're a keeper, they can lead to a goal. Walton is just like any other player we have in the outfield - they're not always consistent. But you need to look at the overall performance and contribution in the game. We also don't know what he's being coached to do. Hitting the ball out is not my idea of great distribution but maybe it's what VI wants - Walton never looks particularly dissappointed that its gone to touch and it's not really hard to correct is it? As for the punching, I suspect this is coached on a ball by ball basis - if it looks challenging then punch clear to distance the danger. If it's judged risk-free go for the catch. Tonight his punching wasn't great and he had a flap and miss at the corner leading to the goal - but he was surrounded and jostled. He will have to find a way to deal with that but it happens. Best option we have at the moment. I'd like to know how Addai is doing (think he's on loan) - with his height he should be able to dominate his box!
