It's unlikely but it's possible, you've only to look at Blackpool & Burnley.

I get the hate of modern day football and the silly money on foreign players at the top level, but bet you'd have a job on finding a Burnley fan that hasn't enjoyed this season. We will never turn into a Chelsea or Man City so if we have the chance to get back up there and upset a few of them bring it on!

Exactly. Most of us hate the premiership for the greed, stupid wages etc but most of us would also never want us to not be in the top flight. In an ideal world we'd be winning the premiership, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League every single year. Obviously never going to happen but we should never want our team not to get to the top flight again.

When the Premier League is expanded to 64 teams?

theres a boat load of teams hoping to be in the premiership, but ultimately it comes down to how much money they have.We dont have the cash to compete in the championship never mind the premier league.
The sport has evolved into a mega bucks business and without these mega bucks you are a also ran.

That would be the ideal world for any owner. Bank all the premier league, cup run money and the manager never asking to spend any because he only ever plays our own guys who have come through our academy :)

Crazy to think that's how football used to be. How it has changed.

I'm not fussed about getting back there. Undoubted rise in ticket prices, and all the other ***** that comes with being in that league. It'd be good for the club if the finances were managed properly but for this fan, no thanks (unless the top clubs break off into a European league).

Agreed, £200 away days when l could go abroad for that much. A shirt for the young un would be £60-£80 an all.

It actually happened and I still can't believe it. So I don't think it will ever happen again. I also believe that England will never win the world cup. I think Premier League football has strangled Barnsley FC and our national side.

Doubt it'll happen again in my lifetime and I'm only 39. Still, I never thought it would happen the first time and it did, so on that basis who knows?
