Believe it or not I've watched that Fawlty Towers sketch dubbed into German. Still hiliarious - whoever dubbed it was a genius to get the humour to still come through.
I went to Cologne a couple of years ago on a long weekend... have to say I loved it, the people were great. My missus thought they were being rude sometimes because the way they speak can be quite abrupt but if you actually listen the always seem to end the sentences with a nicety. Food was good, ale was good and people were good, couldn't fault it! (pint)
FAO Kanecat - I'm over heeeeeeerrrrrrree! Sorry was wearing my scroll bar out. Hot and bothered eh? You seem to be getting to know me quite well
RE: FAO Kanecat - I'm over heeeeeeerrrrrrree! You just don't know where you want to be, one minute far right then back over to the pink side.
Yes, three My wife, her daughter and her boyfriend (the daughter's boyfriend, not my wife's ). It was a DVD present from her daughter (the wife's daughter, not the daughter's ). They laughed their tits off. The daughter speaks perfect English and insisted on watching it again in English to see how it worked. No one connected it with that war all those years ago, it was just humour.
My scrollbar was making a grinding noise Thought it needed a rest. Anyway watch out for another daft thread starting.
