    We wouldnt get a replacement of Howies quality for £520K

    For those who think its a slippery slope offering Howie £10K a week over 2 years equates to one third of the money we wasted on Christensen...

    That's 500k a year. Roughly one third of the cost of 6000 STs at &pound;300 each.</p>

    I doubt the club could afford that.</p>

    Not according to Shez. My mate bumped into him and was quizzing him about his earnings, and mentioned the £8K figure that was doing the rounds at the time. Shez told him to half it and he'd be closer to the truth.

    I wouldn't want anyone to be on that sort of money with us. For 10K a week, we can get two or three decent players wages for. No point giving it all to the one person.
