RE: And when you say 'they'...

Why was the Oakwell crowd yesterday only 385 more than the first game of the season? This to support a team and manager who have spent 4 5ths of a season lamely trying to hang on to the coat tails of footballing giants like Southend, Colchester and Brentford and don't ask me where Colchester and Brentford are in the table. Colchester are 1 point behind with 2 games in hand and Brentford 2 points behind with 3 games in hand. Look the other way, Huddersfield are a catchable proposition, Southend have to get 7 points less than us in the same number of games to be overtaken by Barnsley and judging by yesterday's performance they would appear to be tightening the screw.

Yes, based on land size (not population) Huddersfield is the biggest town in Britain, and I think it is the biggest town in Europe too.

Huddersfield should have more supporters - it has a higher population than Barnsley. And, if it wasn't for Rugby League being quite prominent, I reckon they would hit probably 18,000+ on a regular basis (similar to Wigan's story.)

Maybe some of it is abour expectation...

To hear some of the comments you hear posted... even after we have won you would think that we are the worst team in the division.. A bit more positivity from us die hards might encourage the fair weathers to come out.

Also having played higher level football in the recent past- whereas Huddersfield have gone the other way means that Huddersfield fans may be encouraged by their position whereas many reds fans may think that this division is beneath us and will not come back until we have some kind of success like ye olde days.

No facts or research to back this up this just speculation and opinion I'm afraid.
