Hugo begged for a trial. Called Patrick time and time again. Then offered to pay his own expenses over. Cryne told him he could train with the team in front of Johnson if he was covering his expenses, but said that the final say on any contract would be up to Johnson and that's who he had to impress next. I don't think the club have tried to deny any of this though as it was pretty much said at the fans engagement forum and reported on here and elsewhere. Contrary to belief, he hasn't been making coffee for two years and has been on the books at two Argentinean teams over the last three years. Reckons he's match fit now and thinks he could do a job being the 'general' in the middle of the pitch letting the younger players bomb forward.
I'd like to imagine him firing out lattes with a batista bib on. Don't bust my bubble! As for being on the Argentinian books. He's still only had 5 appearances in 4 seasons. No way he's match fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes. I think it was international clearance that you're thinking of that held it up, the transfer of his registration between clubs. No such problem this time as he's a free agent.
Its like training anyone can turn up and they wont turn you away. Its chesterfield we are playing at 1
I'd tend to believe he wouldn't be getting a deal unless the manager thinks he's fit enough regardless of who set up the trial
Best wishes Hugo! If everyone had his enthusiasm and determination we might be a couple of points better off
