I don't see iseka playing if he stays so doesn't need replacing imo
Watters looked really poor yesterday hopefully just unfit. But dallas and Shaw both looked good when they came on and dallas scores a good header on his debut. I can see Cole and dallas been the main 2 strikers in weeks to come.

Baffled as to how you've come to that conclusion based on yesterday's game.

I wasn’t at yesterdays game, but it’s not the greatest barometer to judge them on is it? They both came on when we were what 5,6-0 up? Port Vale had given up the ghost. Hopefully they both start on Tuesday, but regardless I still think we need another striker through the door if our aim is promotion, especially after losing a guaranteed 10+ goals in Norwood

    Exactly!

You're the one that's judged them. Not me.

Intelligent running, incisive movement, excellent finishing all shine through no matter who the opposition. We're definitely going to face tighter defenses than Port Vale this season, but both Dallas and Shaw looked very promising when they came on. Think they'll both play a big role. Fancy Shaw to start the next league game with Cole. Watters didn't look fit, although I suspect his running pulled Vale defenders out of position quite a lot.

Our strikers didn't score enough last season 11 goals in 45 isn't alot from Norwood for a team who finished 4th. Tedic looked like a raffle winner at times and watters was mostly similar to how he was yesterday. Shaw and dallas looked really good yesterday I imagine dallas could out score norwoods total from last season infact I would put a wager on it.

Make no mistake that opening game was fantastic. But over the course of the season we are going to be needing a bigger squad. Look I’m not the boards biggest fan by a long stretch but if they and it’s big if they get us back in champ this season then fair play.

I’m saying what I see, Oli Shaw didn’t even get a look in last season, why? Clearly not good enough at the time. Might come good later down the line, the same with Dallas, only played at non league level. Might be one for the future, but we need someone for the here & now, to push Watters & Cole (who I think is only a good league 1 quality striker), obviously we had that last week in Norwood, but he went to Oldham, fair enough, but we need to replace him. Otherwise we’ll be left short when players get injured.

Again, with Dallas in particular, you've come to a conclusion based on absolutely nothing, yet you've said I can't judge him (which I haven't) based on his one performance for us, where he actually scored.

With Shaw, he was clearly down the pecking order last season, because he came in at a time when the strikers were performing. He'll be given a chance when he warrants one. Based on his limited time yesterday, I'd say his chance is coming.

Norwood isn't our player, and wanted to leave, so that's completely irrelevant.

Exactly. Shaw and Dallas both looked more than ready yesterday.

I'd say Mael De Gevigney is his replacement.

    1. You didn’t see anything. You didn’t go. I’m willing to bet you’ve never seen him play.
    2. He looks a decent player to me. If Duff didn’t rate him that’s up to him. He’s not the be all and end all. Maybe Collins does. Footy life innit?
