Like I said earlier Dallas seems like a fringe player & could be one for the future, but it’s going to take time, & that goes for Shaw too, so bearing that in mind along with Watters & Cole being the main strikers, we need someone for the here & now to push Cole & Watters for a place & to be called upon if one gets injured. Unless a miracle happens & Dallas or Shaw are immediately good enough, which I doubt. There’s no harm dipping into the loan market if we’re as skint as we expect. Games will be coming thick & fast now, League, League cup, tinpot trophy plus no international break. We lacked depth last season, which was a factor in only making the play offs, but we all know the story behind that.
As I said, I'm not sure what you're basing your assessment of Dallas and Shaw on, so we'll just have to agree to disagree. I don't dispute that we might add another striker, probably in the loan market, I just don't get how you see them as fringe players without seeing them play.
Lack of experience at this level, they are both gambles, which I don’t mind, but we need quality to supplement that. This wouldn’t be a problem had we kept Norwood, which seems beyond our control so will give the club the benefit of the doubt. I just hope we replace him.
Anyone who saw Collin’s last game at Rowdies will have noticed Cal Jennings. 25 year old poacher type striker, got a hat trick that day. Probably itching for a chance over here.? I can see a DK type loan deal to see how he gets on.. But not til January..
