good point. it's a little bit worrying that the club sent him home rather than to the hospital isn't it when he had an head injury, i would have thought they'd send him to a&e just to be on the safe side.

For a case such as this

Unless the victim made a complaint they wouldn't bother and even then it's unlikely to go anywhere.

The law regarding assault has some exceptions built into it and competitive sports are part of that. It's very unlikely that the CPS would let it anywhere near a court, even if the police did get involved.

The only on field incident I can think of was years ago when Duncan Ferguson headbutted someone whilst playing for Everton. I've never heard of a successful prosecution for anything like what Morgan did on Sat.

Didn't something happen with John Fashanu when he elbowed Gary Mabbutt and broke his cheekbone? I know there was a lot of coverage of it at the time, but that incident was very similar.

    Morgan you're a feckin' animal.

I hope they throw the book at you, you cocksucker. Shouldn't be on a football pitch.

Hope he's never invited into the MoTD studios.

    Not likely.

Although I'd be quite happy to see him swinging from the lighting rig in studio 5.
