So, they kill them for what? To eat?

    Eh? What?

They kill A chicken, and eat it; then, they kill the rest for pure sport, for fun - it's nature. Jesus, man up. You'll be telling us you're a vegetarian next.

    :)

Are you trying to make a serious point?

    Or just messing about?

    I'm struggling to decide.

    RE: I already am.

Jay is right in what he's said there. My Dad has an allotment and we've seen this happen to people who keep birds on there. They'll kill the whole lot but only take afew away.

That's why if you keep chickens you have to take on the responsibility to ensure enclosures are safe and that the sheds are secure on a night. Get this right and Mr Fox can't get in

Don't you have something you could be colouring in?

    Or a dot-to-dot or something?

I dont disagree but its more a case of killing through instinct than killing for fun. I'm pretty sure they dont run off laughing their B*ll*cks off after they have killed a load of chickens.

What reason do you give for the hunters to go out and kill foxes? That's not nature and it certainly isn't sport. Fox hunting is on a par with badger baiting - pure unecessary cruelty. In sport, say boxing 2 men are having a fight and it's fair as they're both the same weight etc one against one. In blood 'sports' how can it be fair for god knows how many hoo-ha Henrys and a pack of hounds to chase and tear apart one animal?

    I agree.

A live body and a dead body contain the same number of particles. Structurally, there's no discernible difference. Life and death are unquantifiable abstracts. Why should I be concerned?

Not necessary to shoot the fox as you so eloquently put it. Make sure the chickens are kept safetly and the foxes won't be able to kill them - SIMPLE

So, what are you saying? They should be gassed? Electrocuted? Snared? Poisoned?

They need to be culled; if they weren't, then we wouldn't have any rabbits, mice et al. I'm not a big fan, but they do need culling, and, like I said, the Barstewards killed all my chickens.
