more brits went to spain over the last few decades because they had the money to do it,many came from an era where they had been able to afford houses, pay for them then flog them to fund their new lives abroad, they also have decent pensions to live off. watch the next few decades and see if the same happens, where people wont be able to afford to.
It was a rhetorical question. i know why they want to pull out - because they are lunatic xenophobes.
At least there's nothing hypocritical about Labour being represented by champagne quaffing public school boys.
Aye like voice of the people multi millionaire Farage. Avoids tax. Takes money from an organisation he professes to hate. Would end the minimum wage and all employment rights. Oh but that's ok he hates foreigners so we can forgive him that... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
5 million Brits in Spain didn't know there was that many...........but what percentage of them are actually working over there?......especially with unemployment at 20+ % Or is it just a nice place for retired Brits to set up home. Big difference between retired Brits wanting to retire in sunny Spain and low paid Europeans filling low paid jobs in Britain that should be taken by British youngsters. As for buying property in Spain - why not? UKIP are not against trading with Europeans..........what UKIP are saying is that we as a country should not only be trading within the closed shop of Europe but we should be trading with all countries throughout the world e.g. the commonwealth countries. It makes sense to me
So basically it's ok for Brits to live in other countries but foreigner's aren't welcome here What would the reaction be if foreign property companies started buying big chunks of land and setting up communities here . You know, ones where people don't work (they'd be scroungers), didn't learn the language (disrespectful and unpatriotic), used our medical services (nhs tourists), etc, etc. On the back of this property prices would go up as they bought extra homes to rent out to their fellow countrymen at vastly inflated prices to make a few quid for new golf clubs. I know a certain section would like this bit......until prices were so high that their unemployed offspring (and themselves) couldn't afford to liven in the place they call home. At this point let's all blame the bl00dy foreigners.
Its very ironic No worse thought than living in a english 'community' in spain Obsessed with drinking bingo and coronation street Best place for em although I do feel for the spanish
They also want to privatize the NHS. So when you're ticking the box voting for them, just remember that you'll be held to account for that too.
I've heard some UKIP candidates go on holiday to Greece and watch Borgen on BBC4 the hypocritical b*stards.
FFS, it's about time people realised that all this immigration thing is a trojan horse, they are just pandering to peoples fears about foreigners. If they ever got in power they would drop that like a hot potato and start on their true agenda which would make thatcher look like a communist. They want out of europe not because of immigration but because it prevents them from exploiting working people more than they are now. Other than the " manifesto" that they dropped in 2010 I haven't seen any other objectives other than lets get out of europe and stop immigration. just ask yourselves where they stand on :- the NHS, Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Workers Rights, Minimum Wage, Taxes, TTIP, they may come out with some "air brushed" comments about those issues that covers up their real intentions but don't be fooled. Personally I'm not frightened of them gaining power because I don't think they will, no, what I am frightened of is that they get enough seats to form a coalition with the tories, can you imagine a Cameron Farage partnership, now that is scary. We'd all be wanting Cleggy back.
They have to blame someone - it was the bankers with labour now it's immigrants and benefit claimants .
Completely and utterly different to what I was saying and well you know it. p.s. I very much doubt they watch Borgen, a bit too leftist for them.
