Apparently it sounds as though the need to play at Wembley during Spurs European campaign was due to
certain UEFA demands around minimum seating thresholds and the requirement for a set height
for advertising hoardings. Their new Stadium is in close proximity to White Hart Lane and when
it became apparent that they couldn't continue playing there due to problems affecting access,
capacity and rights delivery , following their European campaign , the decision was taken to apply to the FA
for permission to play their Premier League and Cup games at Wembley until the commencement of the 2018/19 Season when they hope they are finally able to play at their new complex. One of the main reasons Wembley was selected is that a
lot of their supporters didn't want to play at any of the other London Clubs grounds and Wembley is 12 miles from Tottenham.
