    Agreed

If I were him I would have walked by now. Life's too short to be abused all the time.

But I was only pointing out that that was another source of finance, not suggesting for one moment that he should.</p>

I think you will find that

Doyle already owned the Club, so to say it was to stop him getting it is a bit strange. Or were you saying others like him?

Well if we lost money then

We should not have spent a million or more on players that were no better than the ones we had, should we ???? (doh) (doh)

RE: I think you will find that

in defence of gyp,he was saying the council/cryne deal was to safeguard the club from falling into the hands of people with 'dubious' intentions for the club and its assets, which seemed likely at the time of the Doyle era, allegedly.

Not far off...only abart 8th! of Al Fayed's stash

Cryne 58m Al Fayed..?? hard to say following further research..seen figures ranging from 350m to 58bn...the lower though seems more likely but still out of PC's league.

I thought we cut our cloth accordingly these days

which is why we made a profit last year. When you think about it, we lived on gates of just over 6,000 at &pound;8 a game (&pound;48,000 a match compared to &pound;200,000 a match now) and survived without a murmur of administration and challenged the top 6 quite a few times. I'm with you mate.
