    This

    And it should never change.

Been on here since 2005 because of this. Changing it to be like other sites. It may as well close

Lots requested a match day thread so I said we would give it a go. No one forcing anyone to do anything we just tried it yesterday to then gauge opinion. No one said this is how it’s always gonna be, obviously unless everyone came on and said that’s fabulous let’s do it every week lol.

Not trying to be like other forums If we were all Toby Sibbek threads would be merged into one etc. Defo wouldn’t want that. A lot of other forums have one thread for all transfer news and rumours which definitely does not work. they are awful. Leeds Uniteds on wacco is 2400 pages long, wasn’t much fun trying to find info about the lads we had signed :).

I’ve been on this site since late 90’s and I know how it’s always been and know lots like it that way but there’s also lots of new fans and new members who like the match day threads. Maybe we should just have both. I only actually merged about 8 threads on Saturday. I like match day threads on other forums and enjoy reading them and I liked the one yesterday, it engaged quite a lot of people who probably wouldn’t normally have posted during the game as they don’t feel their comment should have its own thread. Think best way to go is to have a match day thread and if members want to post it it’s up to them.

Just quick note about people saying they use the site for goal updates as it’s quickest. I used to joke with my son at games that flash scores would tell me we had scored before we actually do lol. Flash scores notifies you about a goal quicker than anyone can type it on the forum. I turned off notifications because it spoils it when watching IFollow :)

Thanks for posting this, Andy, old mate. Much appreciated. I posted on yesterday's matchday thread, as I thought it was a new protocol, even though I didn't want to, nor like the concept.
However, after reading your post, I'll simply continue to post my feelings & opinions after a match, as I've done for years.
