I get the bit where Barnsley fans might not want Man Utd to win the title

    While I agree to some extent with the original post, and certainly the sentiment, Man Utd have spent their way to the title throughout the Premier League era. That's not a criticism of them, but the system. They inflated transfer prices and wages way before City and Chelsea (Ferdinand, Veron etc). The impact of money in the game should illicit sympathy for the majority of those involved in football, but certainly not Man Utd

    I don't think I've actually seen fired say that Man Utd haven't spent money. No one could deny that they have. BUT Manchester City spending millions upon millions to win it is not a victory for football or a positive message to other clubs that they can beat the system too.

    Same scenario, different shirt.

    No, I'm shocked that someone tried to compare Patrick Cryne's spending to that of Man City.

    Who do I think I am.? I'm just a Barnsley fan.

    It doesn't make a jot whether Man City spend millions or not, the top is always going to be miles away. You seem shocked that someone's had the cheek to disagree with you.

    wellsie,what infrastructure around the club have man city actually built,,,the ground was built by using public and lottery money for the commenwealth games,with 20 odd million of it comming from manchester city council,,,the club only pay rent,muck cheap at that,they pay manchester council 2 million a year to use the name ethiad,while they the club recieve millions from the ethiad,the ground belongs to manchester council,these stinking rich arabs are using british tax payers money to pay for a home for their club,,

    Yes, ok.....there's absolutely no difference between Barnsley FC and Man City! Geez!

    So when do Barnsley fans get the "deserved" league championship win then? I've followed them as long as many Man City fans have followed their team, so why am I any less deserving then?
